Gary Burton and Keith Jarrett

The basic feel on this 1970 meeting is rock, but with a very American-sounding folk influence which evokes the hippy era. Burton’s vibraphone and Jarrett’s piano blend perfectly throughout, the tunes and arrangements are all very distinctive and memorable, but it is above all the level of inventiveness in the solos that makes this unique album one to remember.
